Image processing

Image processing represents important area of our research. We focus on image enhancement and image restoration.

The principal objective of image enhancement is to process an image so that the result is more suitable than the origina
image for specific application.

Like image enhancement, the ultimate goal of restoration techniques is to improve an image in some predefined sense.

Restoration attempts to reconstruct or recover an image that has been degraded by using a priori knowledge of the
degradation phenomenon. Recently, we study correcting chromatic aberration and lens distortion.
